Pululahua Crater
Pululahua is an extinct giant volcano, and one of the two inhabited craters in the word!
We will drive one hour north of Quito to Pululahua Geobotanic Reseve to start at 9.842 ft / 3.000 m with a long downhill from the edge of the crater by a road that will take us inside of it! We will pass along Pondoña and Chivo volcanic remains and keep descending to 6.889 ft / 2.100 m to finally starts a long final but not steep climb through a dense forest until leaving the crater through the Yunguilla Community. Definitely a great adventure of 17 mi / 27 km in a magical place. (B/L/D)
